SightMD is hiring a Senior Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmic physicians in a rotating schedule across East Setauket and Wading River. The role performs comprehensive pre-examination and advanced diagnostic testing, manages patient flow and administrative tasks, documents clinical encounters, administers medications, assists with examinations and minor procedures, maintains equipment, and supports coding and billing. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of ophthalmic technician experience, strong customer service and organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to stand for long periods. Ophthalmic Scribe and Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certifications are preferred, and the position pays $27.50 per hour with medical, dental, and vision insurance among other benefits.
