Workday is hiring a PostgreSQL Database Engineer to scale, optimize, and shard its PostgreSQL database infrastructure supporting a Ruby on Rails application. The role focuses on database performance, connection management, resource usage, monitoring, tuning, configuration, capacity planning, and provisioning, ideally within AWS. Candidates need at least five years of PostgreSQL experience, commercial performance-management experience, public-cloud deployment experience, and scaled-environment development experience. The position is based in Ireland with a base pay range of €86,400 to €129,600 and a flexible work arrangement requiring at least 50% office or field time each quarter.
