Cboe Global Markets is hiring a Senior Principal Software Engineer for its FX and U.S. Treasuries Low Latency Engineering team in New York City. The role builds and maintains high-performance, distributed, latency-sensitive trading systems; leads architecture and technical direction; mentors engineers; and serves as the primary escalation point for critical production issues. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 15+ years of experience in Java, real-time trading systems, distributed architecture, and performance optimization, with additional experience in Linux, databases, version control, FIX, and finance preferred. The position follows a four-day-in-office model, is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and offers a base salary of $255,000-$330,000 plus potential incentive and equity compensation.
