Amazon is hiring a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead global Process Safety Management and Process Safety Engineering initiatives for highly hazardous chemical processes, including hydrogen and other alternative energy systems. The role covers hazard analysis, regulatory compliance, risk governance, process safety systems, incident investigation, training, and technical mentorship across Amazon’s worldwide operations. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in chemical or process safety engineering, at least six years of process safety engineering experience in manufacturing, and expertise in PHA, LOPA, FMEA, consequence modeling, safety instrumented systems, relief systems, and related standards. The position is available in Nashville, Tennessee; Arlington, Virginia; and Bellevue, Washington, with annual base salaries ranging from $135,700 to $185,700 depending on location.
