Ursa Space Systems is hiring a Senior Radar Systems Engineer to develop, implement, and test signal-processing algorithms for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery, with a primary focus on airborne moving target indication (AMTI). The role involves designing SAR collection parameters, evaluating satellite constellations, developing proof-of-concept and production algorithms, analyzing algorithm performance, participating in agile software development, leading technical areas, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need an M.S. in a technical discipline, 7–10 years of experience, Python and version-control proficiency, and prior remote-sensing and signal-processing experience; U.S. citizenship is required. The position offers $160,000–$175,000 and is available in Ithaca, New York, or other remote locations throughout the United States.
