Amazon Robotics is hiring a Sr. Robotics Mechanical Engineer for Rotary Actuator Systems to own the full lifecycle of next-generation rotary actuator systems for advanced robotic platforms. The role covers actuator architecture, custom motors and gearboxes, FEA and thermal modeling, prototype and production validation, vendor management, design for manufacturability, reliability, and cross-functional product launch support. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field, extensive electromechanical and hardware design experience, CAD and prototyping skills, and strong analytical and communication abilities. The position is based in North Reading or Westboro, Massachusetts, with a base salary of 137,300 to 185,700 USD annually.
