Intuitive is hiring a Synthetic Data Engineer for Future Forward Research to build high-fidelity surgical simulation environments, generate and manage large labeled synthetic datasets, implement domain randomization and procedural scene generation, model deformable soft-tissue physics and instrument kinematics, and develop sim-to-real transfer strategies. The role partners with ML engineers on task curricula, reward functions, evaluation benchmarks, and infrastructure, and requires strong software engineering, simulation or graphics experience, and knowledge of 3D and physics fundamentals. It is fully onsite at Intuitive’s Sunnyvale campus.
