Description
PayPal is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer for its Site Health Engineering (Command Center) team. The role directs application and infrastructure teams during high-severity incidents, authorizes rollbacks and regional failovers, leads root-cause analysis, manages emergency changes, and drives reliability, observability, automation, disaster recovery, and capacity initiatives. It requires 5+ years of site reliability or infrastructure operations experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination, and hands-on expertise with AWS or GCP, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, cloud-native deployment tools, monitoring, networking, and scripting. The position follows a 3–4 day alternating 12-hour shift pattern and offers a balanced hybrid work model.
