Amazon is hiring a Sr. Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and operate globally distributed systems for Amazon Leo’s satellite network. The role focuses on agentic AI for autonomous operational intelligence, including multi-agent anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, natural-language interfaces, RAG, hybrid search, data lakehouse and OLAP analytics, vector databases, and automated testing and monitoring. The engineer will also build cloud services and APIs for simulating software on Leo devices and will lead scalable, low-latency architecture. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, and requires at least five years of professional software development, programming, design or architecture, and leadership experience.
