AWS is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE 3) for its Engineering Services team to lead cloud-native production software and infrastructure, own team-level architecture, drive technical strategy, and deliver scalable solutions across the software lifecycle. The role requires leading projects involving multiple engineers, mentoring engineers, establishing engineering and operational practices, communicating technical decisions, and occasionally traveling to customer sites. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, five years of programming, five years of design or architecture leadership, mentorship or technical leadership experience, a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, and hands-on experience with generative AI technology.
