Description

Mercado Libre is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and scale secure backend systems, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native platform tooling for e-commerce and financial services in Latin America. The role covers multi-cloud and cloud-agnostic architectures, AI tooling, deployment and release automation, Kubernetes orchestration, infrastructure as code, GitOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure security. The position requires Python and/or Go, Terraform, Kubernetes operators or controllers, and knowledge of IAM, secrets management, TLS/PKI, and NGINX; intermediate or advanced English is desirable. It is a hybrid role based in Saavedra, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience designing and developing cloud-native applications in production environments, including multi-cloud and cloud-agnostic architectures, container orchestration, service mesh, identity management, and networking.
Experience developing services, APIs, automations, and Kubernetes operators or controllers with Python and/or Go, including Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of infrastructure security, including TLS/PKI certificates, IAM, secrets management, and NGINX.
Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate or advanced English for managing vendor support.
