Navan is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Enterprise Team to architect and develop scalable backend microservices for corporate travel infrastructure. The role focuses on travel policies, approval workflows, compliance enforcement, APIs, data processing, enterprise analytics, integrations, and the long-term data platform roadmap. Responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of backend systems, cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring engineers. The position requires at least four years of backend software development experience, strong Java and Spring Boot expertise, database and distributed-systems knowledge, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on experience.
