Description
Proofpoint is hiring a Backend Software Engineer to own end-to-end design, development, deployment, and improvement of backend and distributed systems. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable, observable, and maintainable systems in cloud environments, using technologies such as Python, Go, or Rust, microservices, API gateways, event streaming, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD. The engineer will also contribute to engineering excellence, mentorship, and collaboration, with AI-assisted development and agentic AI experience preferred.
