PayPal is hiring a Senior Engineer for its AI Tooling team at Venmo to design and build AI-powered tools and integrations that improve the productivity, reliability, and velocity of Venmo's Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps engineering teams. The role combines hands-on cloud and DevOps work with applied AI development, including LLM-powered runbook assistants, intelligent alerting, infrastructure code generation, autonomous remediation, CI/CD automation, and internal AI platforms. The engineer will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot incidents, and establish responsible AI practices, with a balanced hybrid work model and locations in San Jose, Austin, and Scottsdale.
