Description
Apple is hiring a backend software engineer to design and build microservices for its customer support technology systems. The role owns end-to-end feature delivery, drives engineering best practices, and architects high-throughput, event-driven service pipelines with resilience and back-pressure management. Responsibilities include API design, contract-first development, production observability, and building secure, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud-based distributed systems. The position requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of professional software development experience, and two or more years of Java experience, along with Spring, JVM, networking, and distributed-systems expertise.
