Workday is hiring a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer for its Messaging, Streaming and Caching team. The role designs, builds, deploys, operates, and optimifies large-scale distributed services such as Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, and NoSQL platforms across AWS, GCP, private cloud, and other environments. Responsibilities include observability, automation, on-call support, and performance tuning, with a focus on resiliency and operational excellence. The position requires extensive experience with distributed systems, messaging and caching technologies, cloud platforms, and software engineering, and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
