Fusion HCR is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a direct-hire role with a client in Birmingham, Alabama. The position leads the modernization of a sales IT domain, including the quote-to-invoice lifecycle, and owns application architecture, cloud-native Java microservices, SaaS solutions, scalability, resilience, and performance. Responsibilities include defining technical roadmaps, deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform, mentoring globally distributed engineering teams, and establishing Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, automated testing, and technical documentation practices. The role requires 10+ years of enterprise software experience, strong Java 21 expertise, microservices and distributed-systems knowledge, and authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
