Intuitive Surgical is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Ion R&D team to develop user-facing features for PlanPoint, planning software that creates 3D models of a patient’s lung from pre-operative medical images. The role involves prototyping GUI elements, designing and implementing C++ software, contributing to system and software architecture, and producing formal documentation. Candidates need four years of experience designing user-facing software applications, strong C++ and object-oriented programming knowledge, a BS in computer science or equivalent, and the ability to work independently in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
