Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Windows Ecosystem and Commercial Engagement team to improve power efficiency, Modern Standby, and battery life across Windows devices. The role involves analyzing traces, telemetry, firmware, drivers, and crash data; establishing power-validation automation; advising OEM, silicon, hardware, firmware, driver, and platform teams; and leading technical bring-up and partner engagements. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least four years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience, along with Mandarin and English communication skills.
