Description
The Tax Accountant prepares tax returns, schedules, reports, journal entries, workpapers, reconciliations, and period-end closing tasks; supports payroll and benefit submissions; and maintains accurate financial data and reporting. The role requires a four-year college degree and two to three years of tax-accounting experience, with CPA or CPA candidate status preferred, and involves confidential financial work, moderate judgment, and occasional travel. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility, and the position is contracted by the U.S. government or other federal agencies, requiring U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency.
