GEICO is hiring a Sr. Staff AI Engineer to own the intelligence layer of its AI Agent Platform, focusing on reusable agent design patterns, context engineering, MCP-based tool integration, sub-agent orchestration, model evaluation, and experimental improvement of agent quality. The role partners with backend platform engineers, sets technical direction, mentors engineers and data scientists, and translates research into scalable enterprise capabilities. It requires 10+ years of software, ML, or applied-science experience, strong Python, distributed-systems knowledge, and hands-on GenAI and agent-systems experience; the annual salary is $115,000–$260,000, and visa sponsorship may be considered.
