Sila is hiring a Senior Staff Automation Controls Engineer to architect, design, and deploy deterministic machine-control software and electrical subsystems for production-scale materials-processing equipment. The role leads control-system architecture, HMI and PLC development, industrial fieldbus and safety standards, electrical and network design, system integration, validation, troubleshooting, documentation, vendor collaboration, and mentorship. Candidates need at least 10 years of mission-critical industrial automation experience, a relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience, and preferably experience with complex, high-risk materials processing. The role is onsite and offers a starting base pay of $172,000 to $218,000.
