Shield AI is hiring a Sr Staff Engineer to lead technical direction for autonomy capabilities and architectures across satellite and missile-defense programs. The role focuses on distributed optimization, task allocation, weapons target assignment, motion planning, information fusion, RPO operations, and space-vehicle behavior planning, with software development, cross-functional integration, deployment, testing, and road-mapping responsibilities. The position requires a relevant engineering or computer science degree, extensive related experience, C++ and Python proficiency, robotics and unmanned-systems expertise, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
