Coupang is hiring an Observability Engineer to build and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, and application performance solutions for large-scale distributed systems. The role involves designing observability platforms using Kubernetes and open-source technologies, collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams, defining SLOs and KPIs, troubleshooting incidents, standardizing observability practices, and mentoring engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, eight years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, and strong observability expertise; experience with Kubernetes, APM, distributed tracing, cloud platforms, and DevOps/SRE practices is preferred.
