Description
Zscaler is hiring a Staff Applied AI Engineer to partner with business and product teams from discovery through delivery, designing and shipping secure, production-grade AI solutions across retrieval-augmented generation, structured data querying, unstructured data mining, and agentic workflows. The role also advises on technical feasibility, cost, risk, and ROI; establishes monitoring and evaluation frameworks; and expands engineering standards, reusable architectures, and playbooks while mentoring team members. The position is on-site in San Jose, California, or remote in the United States, requires at least six years of software engineering experience including three years on AI or machine learning projects, and offers a base salary of $180,000 to $225,000 USD.
