UKG is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer for its Ready product to serve as a hands-on technical anchor and individual contributor. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs, distributed components, and cloud-native capabilities; contributing to architecture, technology-roadmap, performance, observability, reliability, and AI-assisted engineering; and mentoring engineers. The position requires extensive enterprise software engineering experience, strong Java and database expertise, distributed-systems and cloud experience, and practical knowledge of AI agents and automation.
