Renesas is hiring a Sr Staff System Engineer for its Low-Voltage GaN Marketing & Systems Group to define next-generation motor-control IC products and silicon architectures. The role translates system-level requirements into IC specifications, develops chip architectures and multi-year roadmaps, collaborates with IC design and R&D, creates high-power-density prototypes and evaluation boards, performs circuit simulations and trade-off analyses, and supports tier-1 customer architecture engagements. Candidates need 5–7+ years of power electronics, semiconductor systems, or motor-drive design experience, a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and strong expertise in low-voltage BLDC and PMSM motor control, GaN power stages, PCB layout, simulation tools, and motor-control hardware. The role is hybrid in San Jose, Phoenix, or Chandler, Arizona, with no visa sponsorship, and offers an annual salary of $160,000–$235,000 plus bonus opportunities.
