AWS is hiring a Senior System Development Engineer for its European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) Managed Operations team. The role supports the development and operation of high-availability AWS services for EU customers, including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock. Responsibilities include improving availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency; collaborating with global AWS teams; contributing to operational procedures and technology evolution; and participating in out-of-hours on-call rotations. The position requires EU national status, English fluency, software development experience, and expertise in Linux, networking, distributed systems, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
