Description
ORBCOMM is hiring a Sr. Technical Writer to create, edit, maintain, and plan technical documentation for its Industrial IoT offerings, including user guides, release notes, API documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures. The role coordinates documentation requests across hardware, firmware, SaaS, mobile, product, engineering, support, and operations teams; establishes documentation standards; tracks work in Jira; and improves documentation quality, delivery, and operational effectiveness. The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule and requires 8+ years of technical writing experience, 4+ years with MadCap Flare and Capture, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Jira, version control, and related documentation technologies.
