AltaLink is hiring a full-time permanent Sr Transmission Lines Engineer for its Calgary office to provide technical expertise, field support, and engineering analysis for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of transmission line assets. The role includes root-cause failure analysis, hardware and insulator testing, proximity and encroachment evaluations, underground asset monitoring, transmission line rating and compliance analysis, urgent repair support, design backup, switch evaluation, and induction studies. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, EIT or APEGA qualification, at least 10 years of electrical utility experience, and proficiency with PLS-CADD and related engineering tools.
