Description

The Stability Engineer performs reliability analysis to support the development of New Services Requests within the PJM Interconnection Process. This includes evaluating transmission system reinforcements, supporting data reviews, managing multiple projects, preparing technical reports, and contributing to the development of PJM business practices. The engineer will also identify and implement new methods in the planning process and collaborate with internal teams to solve complex engineering problems.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 4 years of applicable work experience in power systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Engineering
Experience working with PSSE (library and user written) and PSCAD models for synchronous and inverter based generation, power electronic devices, HVDC, FACTs, etc.
Hands on experience with programming tools such as Python, FORTRAN, etc. to develop/enhance automation scripts
Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
Experience using PSS/e (power system analysis program)
