Description
The Stabilization Specialist provides crisis prevention and stabilization services to persons with developmental disabilities experiencing emotional, behavioral, and social disorders. The role responds to referrals, delivers direct crisis services, develops action plans, conducts on-site observations and environmental reviews, collaborates with families, providers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams, maintains medical records, and provides training in behavioral strategies and adaptive skills. The position is primarily based in an indoor office or community settings, may require travel and flexible hours, and requires a bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related human service field, along with expertise in intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, mental illness, applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.
