HomeXpress is hiring a Staff Accountant to support accounting and financial reporting for mortgage loan origination, interim servicing, and loan-sale activities. The role handles loan-level journal entries and reconciliations, gain-on-sale accounting, warehouse-line funding, monthly and quarterly close support, audit workpapers, and analysis of large loan-level datasets using Excel. It reports to the Accounting Manager or Controller and offers exposure to public-company reporting, SOX compliance, and FloQast implementation. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in mortgage banking, financial services, loan accounting, or loan operations.
