ShiftKey is hiring a Staff AI Engineer to own and evolve its AI infrastructure, including an organizational knowledge platform, cloud-hosted AI agents, retrieval systems, platform APIs, and cost-governance controls. The role involves architecting agentic infrastructure on AWS, building graph-based retrieval, defining developer-facing abstractions, implementing reference agents, and monitoring AI workload costs and observability. It requires 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building production AI/LLM systems, along with expertise in retrieval, agentic frameworks, cloud AI platforms, Terraform, and regulated data handling.
