Description
The United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims is hiring multiple Staff Attorneys in its Central Legal Staff in Washington, D.C. The role involves conference and mediation with litigating parties, settlement discussions, drafting procedural orders, responding to judicial inquiries, screening appeals and petitions, researching and preparing memoranda of law, and performing other legal duties. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold an ABA-accredited J.D., be an active member of the highest court bar in an eligible jurisdiction, and have progressively responsible legal experience, including veterans' benefits law experience. The position is filled at CS-12, 13, or 14 depending on experience and may have promotion potential up to CS-14.
