Brain Corp is hiring a Staff Autonomy Engineer for its San Diego R&D team to lead technical direction across perception, SLAM, prediction, planning, and machine-learning systems for autonomous robots. The role owns multi-quarter roadmaps, end-to-end research-to-fleet projects, embedded-model optimization, evaluation infrastructure, and mentorship of senior and mid-level engineers. Candidates need a master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field or equivalent experience, at least seven years of embodied-AI industry experience, deep expertise in robotics systems and modern machine learning, and strong C++ and Python skills. The position offers a base salary of $209,644 to $262,055 in San Diego, California, plus bonus, stock options, retirement matching, insurance, and other benefits.
