Haus is hiring a Staff Backend and Data Engineer to lead a dual-depth role combining backend systems engineering and data engineering. The role owns distributed ingestion services, data contracts, orchestration, observability, lakehouse and warehouse models, BigQuery workloads, dbt architecture, data quality, and the engineering standards for the team. It requires 8+ years of software engineering experience, strong backend and data expertise, expert Python, deep SQL and dbt experience, and staff-level technical leadership. The position is based in or near Haus offices in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City and offers health, dental, and vision insurance.
