Atoms is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to join its founding team and design, scale, and secure cloud systems supporting fleet operations, dispatch, and deployment platforms. The role involves building APIs, developer tools, microservices, and backend services; partnering with product and engineering; and mentoring engineers. It requires 8+ years of backend systems experience, proficiency in Java, Go, or a similar language, database and cloud expertise, and strong distributed-systems knowledge. The position is onsite in San Francisco, with a base salary of $224,000-$284,000 per year and additional benefits.
