Description
The Staff Backend Engineer will build and maintain scalable, secure, high-availability backend services for a cloud-based scientific research platform. The role involves developing APIs and services for remote experiment orchestration, sensor data, simulation execution, and data storage; collaborating with scientists, designers, and engineers; contributing to product and technical direction; participating in code reviews and on-call operations; and improving software engineering practices. The technology stack includes Go, Python, or Rust, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, React, GitHub, and Travis CI.
