Sila is hiring a Battery Engineer to advance lithium-ion electrode and cell products from prototype through NPI and commercialization. The role involves scaling electrode and cell lines, conducting experiments on multilayer pouch full cells, optimizing slurry and coating processes, designing and integrating cells, performing failure analysis, applying statistical and modeling techniques, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and preparing customer-facing data packages. Candidates need a B.S. in engineering or science, at least seven years of battery or related experience, and strong laboratory, data-analysis, and communication skills. The role is onsite, requires personal protective equipment and possible respirator testing, and includes up to 25% domestic and international travel. Starting base pay is $151,000 to $191,000.
