Western Governors University is hiring a Staff Cloud Engineer for an in-office role in Salt Lake City, Utah. This senior individual-contributor position leads the architecture, automation, security, reliability, and evolution of enterprise AWS cloud platforms, including Terraform-based infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, Kubernetes/EKS, serverless systems, and cloud-native DevOps practices. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 10+ years of progressive infrastructure/cloud/DevOps/SRE experience, 5+ years of hands-on AWS engineering, strong Linux and scripting skills, production systems expertise, and demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring.
