Description
The Staff Data Engineer is the hands-on technical authority for a data engineering team, responsible for delivering and operating data platforms and pipelines, translating architecture into scalable solutions, and providing technical guidance to local and offshore engineers. The role covers solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, incident resolution, observability, security, governance, and platform modernization, while also mentoring engineers and managing delivery risks. It requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, at least seven years of data engineering experience, and strong expertise with Snowflake, AWS, Airflow, dbt, Python, SQL, Terraform, and related technologies.
