Robots & Pencils is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to define and lead enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, pipelines, governance, quality, monitoring, and modernization. The role supports production AI/ML systems, partners with engineering, analytics, AI, and product teams, and mentors junior and mid-level engineers. Candidates need at least seven years of professional data engineering experience, strong distributed systems and cloud-native platform expertise, Python, Scala, and SQL proficiency, and experience with streaming, orchestration, CI/CD, and data governance.
