Discord is hiring a Staff Data Scientist for its Experimentation Platform to establish the platform's vision and roadmap, validate statistical and causal-inference methodologies, improve experimentation reliability and scalability, lead cross-functional education, and conduct original causal-inference research. The role requires a PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience, at least four years of experimentation or causal-inference experience, strong statistical and communication skills, and proficiency with Python, SQL, R, or other statistical programming languages. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and offers a US base salary of $279,000 to $310,000 plus equity and benefits.
