Apptronik is hiring a Staff Drivetrain Engineer to design, build, test, and validate drivetrain technologies for electric actuators in robotics. The role covers gear and gearbox architecture, tooth-profile and bearing selection, lubrication, FEA and gear analysis, materials and manufacturing, GD&T documentation, pilot builds, design verification, and scalability improvements. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and at least 8 years of drivetrain, gearbox, actuator, robotics, automotive, or aerospace development experience, along with proficiency in gear-design software and CAD.
