Ford is hiring a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to architect and develop the foundational software platform for next-generation automotive electronic control units. The role covers real-time drivers, embedded RTOS configurations, low-level drivers, middleware, networking stacks, memory layouts, and ISO 26262 functional safety, while providing technical leadership and mentoring across the platform team. Candidates need a STEM degree, strong Embedded C and MISRA C experience, automotive networking knowledge, and embedded RTOS and driver development experience. The position is hybrid, requires onsite work four or more days per week, and offers a base salary range of $150,200-$283,500 with visa sponsorship available.
