Ford is hiring a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to architect and develop the foundational software platform for next-generation automotive electronic control units. The role covers real-time drivers, embedded RTOS configurations, low-level drivers, middleware, networking stacks, memory layouts, functional safety, MISRA C compliance, and cross-functional platform leadership. Candidates need a STEM degree, strong Embedded C experience, ISO 26262 knowledge, automotive communication experience, and RTOS and driver development experience. The position is hybrid, requires onsite work four or more days per week, and offers a base salary range of $150,200-$283,500 with medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
