Description

QT Technologies Ireland Limited is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer for its Data Center AI Software team. The role owns the architecture, design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of significant firmware features across SoC, board, and platform levels, while leading complex debugging, validation, and cross-team coordination. Responsibilities include C/C++ development, SoC bring-up, embedded debugging, test automation, code reviews, technical leadership, and production issue resolution. The posting requires a relevant bachelor's or master's degree and 8+ years of embedded firmware or low-level system software experience, with preferred experience in datacenter, cloud, AI accelerator, or high-performance compute platforms.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of experience in embedded firmware or low-level system software development.
Experience designing and delivering complex firmware features from requirements through integration and validation.
Experience with SoC bring-up, board support packages, device drivers, boot loaders, hardware/software integration, or system-level debugging.
Experience debugging embedded systems using JTAG/SWD, trace, logs, emulators, serial debuggers, or logic analyzers.
Experience working in Linux-based development environments and/or with an RTOS.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing firmware for datacenter, cloud, AI accelerator, or other high-performance compute platforms.
Expertise in embedded firmware areas such as inter-processor communication, telemetry, diagnostics, SR-IOV, virtualization, or firmware CI/CD.
Experience with high-speed interfaces or interconnects such as PCIe or LPDDR.
Experience with Embedded Linux build systems and Linux kernel development practices.
Experience with Git, Gerrit, unit testing, code coverage, static analysis, and performance analysis.
Experience collaborating with external partners, silicon vendors, original design manufacturers, or manufacturing teams.
Ability to influence technical decisions across adjacent teams without formal authority.
