Description
The Machine Protection Systems Engineer will maintain and upgrade the safety and reliability systems of Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource equipment at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. The role involves migrating legacy protection systems to modern PLC-based interlocks, troubleshooting and calibrating legacy vacuum and relay systems, developing safety-critical PLC logic and HMI diagnostics, commissioning interlock chains, maintaining engineering documentation, and providing 24/7 operational support during beam operations. The position requires onsite work and offers a regular continuing duration with an expected annual pay range of $134,906 to $164,965.
