Ontra is hiring a Staff Engineer, AI Operations to serve as the technical lead for company-wide internal AI work. The role involves setting technical direction, designing and operating reusable AI services, agents, integrations, and automations, partnering with business and technical teams, leading architecture and code review, supporting secure data and knowledge interfaces, and owning production reliability, monitoring, recovery, and cost targets. Candidates need 8+ years of software engineering experience, staff-level technical leadership, production AI ownership, systems and integration design, and strong hands-on engineering skills; recent Python experience is preferred. The role is remote-first and available to candidates in the listed United States, Hong Kong, and United Kingdom locations.
